Survivors cannot safely leave abusive relationships — or stay gone — without reliable childcare.
Childcare is essential because it enables survivors to:

attend court and PFA hearings
secure housing
maintain employment
access medical and mental health care
rest and regulate
support their children emotionally
build long-term stability

Children also need consistent, safe caregiving environments to recover from trauma, rebuild trust, and return to learning and play.
